Brand new website offers knowledge on LGBTQI from ethnic minorities

Today Merhaba launches a brand new website: www.merhaba.be/en . This site is created for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders and intersex people from ethnic minorities & their environment (family, friends...).  Also Professionals and anyone with questions about gender, sexual orientation and cultural diversity will find lots of information. You can read news updates, follow our campaigns and there is a documentation center with loads of articles, personal stories, interviews and dossiers.

Said Al Nasser:

“In the first place, we wanted a website that is interactive. A place where LGBTQI can meet to exchange thoughts and feelings, and from which LGBTQI can easily get in touch with Merhaba. In our activities we have a predominantly male public. With this site we hope to reach more lesbians, transgenders and intersex people from ethnic minorities.

The site is adapted to the newest developments on the internet. You can easily share articles with friends through Facebook, Twitter and other platforms. You can also contribute to the website in communicating about relevant news, interesting articles or sending in your own opinion or story to: communicatie@merhaba.be.

Prejudices against LGBTQI and homophobic statements are partly based on ignorance and lack of information. With this website we hope to contribute in filling the gaps.
