Voluntary work offers you an opportunity to do something for others or to help make the subject easier to discuss. You belong to a dynamic and multi-faceted  team.

All volunteers are given an introductory interview during which we look together for your most suitable contribution.. Volunteers for reception receive training from experienced counsellors. There are several activities for volunteers organised each year. We have an annual study day.

Amal “I really wanted to go to the MerhaBar but I felt apprehensive about the thought of having to go into the café on my own... Happily, I was able to talk to one of the people from Merhaba who immediately asked if I would like to help to make the tea. That gave me something to do and in a way gave me more self-confidence. I poured all the tea. Everyone thought I was part of the organisation and that felt really good. That was more than four years ago. Since then I have been involved in welcoming others for years”.
